Which coins does Cake Wallet support?
As of version 6.5.0 (October 2026), Cake Wallet lets you create wallets for Monero, Bitcoin (with Lightning), Litecoin (with MWEB), Zcash, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Smart Chain, Robinhood Chain, Solana, Tron, Nano and Decred, plus tokens on the EVM chains, Solana and Tron. Haven and Wownero have been removed, and Zano is being phased out: since 6.5.0 you can no longer create or restore Zano wallets.
Cake Wallet started in January 2018 as a Monero-only iPhone wallet. In October 2026 its documentation describes it as "one non-custodial app for seventeen separate chains" (Cake Wallet docs, 2026), although the same page lists 16 active chains; Zano still works for existing wallets but can no longer be added. This page lists what you can use today, where each coin is available, and when coins arrived or left.
Cake Wallet is the open-source wallet from Cake Labs. It has nothing to do with PancakeSwap's CAKE token or with Cake DeFi.
Current list (version 6.5.0, October 2026)
| Coin or network | Ticker | Highlights in Cake Wallet |
|---|---|---|
| Monero | XMR | Polyseed, 25-word or BIP39 seeds, subaddresses, accounts, view-only wallets |
| Bitcoin | BTC | Lightning, Silent Payments, Payjoin, coin control, accounts, Bump fee |
| Litecoin | LTC | Optional MWEB private balance (iOS and Android) |
| Zcash | ZEC | Shielded by default, auto-shielding, Ironwood support |
| Bitcoin Cash | BCH | CashAddr addresses, coin control |
| Dogecoin | DOGE | New address after each use, coin control |
| Ethereum | ETH | ERC-20 tokens, WalletConnect, private broadcast (Blink) |
| Polygon | POL | ERC-20 tokens, fees in POL |
| Arbitrum | ETH | Ethereum layer 2, fees in ETH |
| Base | ETH | Ethereum layer 2, fees in ETH |
| BNB Smart Chain | BNB | BEP-20 tokens, fees in BNB |
| Robinhood Chain | ETH | Ethereum layer 2, USDG and USDe shown by default |
| Solana | SOL | SPL tokens, NFTs, Jupiter swaps |
| Tron | TRX | TRC-20 tokens such as USDT |
| Nano | XNO | No network fee |
| Decred | DCR | SPV sync, coin control |
Tokens are supported on all six EVM networks, on Solana (SPL) and on Tron (TRC-20). Cake Wallet stresses that tokens never pay their own fees, so you need a small balance of the network's own coin, such as ETH, BNB, SOL or TRX, to move them (Cake Wallet docs, 2026). More detail is on the pages for Monero, Bitcoin, Litecoin MWEB, Ethereum, USDT and tokens and Zcash, Solana and the other coins.
Which coins work on which device
Not every coin is in every build. The phone apps have the full list. The desktop builds leave some out.
| Platform | What is missing |
|---|---|
| iPhone, iPad and Android | Nothing: all current coins |
| macOS and Linux | No Zcash, Decred or Zano. No Litecoin MWEB. Lightning works on macOS but not on Linux |
| Windows | New Windows releases are paused while the desktop app is rebuilt. The Windows build script also leaves out Zcash, Decred, Zano and Wownero |
The platform list comes from Cake Wallet's documentation and the build scripts in its source code (October 2026). If you mainly use a computer, check this table before you move a coin into Cake Wallet. Download options for each device are in how to download Cake Wallet.
Removed and retiring coins
Zano: being phased out
Since version 6.5.0 (October 2026), new Zano wallets cannot be created or restored. Existing Zano wallets still open and work for now, and the app shows a notice listing them. Cake Wallet gives its reasons as Zano's repeated hard forks, including one that rolled the chain back by 30 days, a heavy maintenance load and low usage (Cake Wallet docs, 2026). It says Zano will be removed in a future release but gives no date. If you hold Zano, back up the seed from Recovery & Keys now. Wallets created from version 6.4.3 (August 2026) use a 12- or 24-word BIP39 seed; older ones use the original 26-word Zano seed.
Wownero: view the seed only
Wownero support has been removed. Existing Wownero wallets still open, but only so you can see the seed and keys and restore them in another Wownero wallet, such as the official wallets listed on wownero.org. You can no longer sync or send from them in Cake Wallet. No release note gives the exact version; users reported Wownero missing in version 5.8.0 in January 2026.
Haven: removed
The Haven project shut down in late 2024. Cake Wallet warned Haven users to move their funds in version 4.22.0 (December 2024) and removed Haven in version 4.24.0 (March 2025). If you still have a Haven seed, Cake Wallet's docs point Haven holders to the same instructions as for Wownero: write down the seed and use a wallet that still supports the coin, if one exists.

The pace has been fast: fifteen coins and networks arrived between 2023 and 2026, while three have left or are leaving. Removals followed either a project shutting down (Haven) or a support burden Cake Wallet judged too high for the number of users (Zano). Before you rely on Cake Wallet for a small coin, it is worth keeping your seed in a format another wallet can restore.
Holding, swapping and buying are different things
Being able to hold a coin does not mean you can buy, sell or swap it in every country. Swaps go through third-party providers, and a pair only works if one of them quotes it at your amount (Cake Wallet docs, 2026). Buying and selling depend on the provider, the coin, your currency and your region. Rules on privacy coins such as Monero and Zcash also differ by country, and some exchanges do not list them; this guide does not give legal advice. See swaps in Cake Wallet and buying and selling.
Buying, swapping or paying never creates a wallet for you: you add each coin yourself from the Wallets screen. A single 12- or 24-word BIP39 seed can cover several chains through wallet groups, but Monero Polyseed and 25-word seeds cannot join a group.
Before you add a coin
- Back up every seed you create. For a 25-word Monero seed, also note the restore height.
- Cake Wallet never asks for your seed and never messages you first. Treat any "support" contact that does as a scam.
- Install only the real app. Check your download with our download checker.
- Send a small test amount on a new network before a large transfer, and check that the sender uses the same network as your wallet.
Frequently asked questions
How many coins does Cake Wallet support?
Version 6.5.0 (October 2026) supports 16 coins and networks for new wallets, plus tokens. Cake Wallet's docs speak of seventeen chains; Zano now only works for existing wallets.
Does Cake Wallet support USDT?
Yes, as a token on Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Smart Chain, Solana and Tron. You need the network's own coin to pay the fee.
Can I still use Haven in Cake Wallet?
No. Haven was removed in version 4.24.0 in March 2025 after the Haven project shut down.
What happened to Wownero in Cake Wallet?
Support was removed. Old Wownero wallets open only to show the seed and keys so you can restore them in another Wownero wallet.
Why can't I create a Zano wallet?
Cake Wallet is phasing Zano out. Since 6.5.0 you cannot create or restore Zano wallets, though existing ones still work for now. Back up your seed.
Why is Zcash missing on my computer?
The macOS and Linux builds leave out Zcash, Decred and Zano. Use the iPhone, iPad or Android app for these coins.
